Hello everyone,
Being a French native speaker, I started university with a wish to kick-start my career in the teaching industry. During my university course, I gained the privilege to support children in a SEN school. This became the pivotal point in my life where I realised that educating a child brings a great deal of personal satisfaction.
I currently work in a secondary school teaching French. I work with different pupils from those with higher abilities to those that encounter difficulties in mastering the basics in French thus helping them improve their skills. They have significantly improved their grades during their exams. The achievement of my students has inspired me especially given the fact that French Language is one of the most challenging subjects for a lot of students.
Setting differentiated work has really helped me in tracking the progress of my students. One of the vital things for me is to ensure that after every lesson my students are able to talk about what they have learnt in a positive way. Positive mindset is fundamental when learning languages and I always ensure that the learning environment is positive as well as motivating. And above all, a lesson has to be fun and innovative as well as being in line with the latest school curriculum.
After having completed a Masters in Journalism from City University London, I have been working as a Marketing specialist for the last 4 years. My previous experience was in the financial sector within the Foreign Exchange industry. Teaching and marketing both requires creativity and as a teacher I strive to make my lessons captivating and innovative. Furthermore, using my academic and social skills I always ensure that I make a positive impact on students in their educational needs.
I have a great passion to teach French and being a teacher is amazing as not only I am increasing an individual's knowledge in my subject but I am also able to teach life skills and contribute positively to someone's life. I also get the opportunity to enhance pupils' resilience, independence, self-esteem and creativity through my lessons so my students are ready to participate in shaping our society.
