My lessons are based on each individual's personal preferences. The reason why a student is learning English will be the primary focus of taught topics. For example, a student wanting to learn English for employment purposes will learn key phrases to use in order to secure a job. We would use a multi-modal approach to this, i.e. a written questionnaire and a spoken mock interview. This is one example of how my lessons are targeted to an individual's circumstances. Another example is for students learning English to move abroad to an English-speaking country. I would comprehensively teach them the dialect of that specific country e.g. British English, or American English, and teach them key phrases in terms of travel. This also would use a dynamic approach, as we would be reading about, listening to, and watching, key institutions of society to help an individual successfully integrate into society. Examples would include key phrases needed at: shops, hospital, the post office, home, work, and many more places! I have taught English at many levels, and for those needing help with exams, I acheived A** and A* at GCSE for English, so I am more than qualified to teach individuals! I have tutored both native and non-native students, for entirely different purposes, and at varying levels of proficiency, so I am able to cope and understand with any student. I can also pick up other languages very quickly and easily, in order to ensure the language barrier does not become too difficult.
