As a recent Pharmacology graduate, I am passionate about helping others develop a love for science! Being a student myself for many years, I understand how overwhelming it can be and sometimes a helping hand can make all the difference. My own academic experience gives me compassion for my students alongside the motivation to help them through their personal struggles. From my previous experience teaching to both A-level and GCSE standard, I know that active recall is so important to combat the sheer amount of content. I achieve this in 2 ways: keeping lessons very dynamic by asking students questions on the current lesson content, and by reviewing previous content at the beginning of lessons to test student memory. This method has helped my previous students feel less overwhelmed by large amounts of content, helping them to enjoy the subject more! I like to keep lesson content tailored to each individual student and their own personal topic struggles. I have found this is the most efficient use of time for students and helps maximise their results by focusing on the areas they deem most difficult. The lesson format can also differ between students based on the type of learning they most enjoy. For example, maybe they are a visual learner who prefers diagrams and images, or they might be an auditory learner who requires more spoken instructions. Whatever kind of learner they are, I’m here to help my students achieve the grades that they want! Please feel free to reach out with any queries.
