Lessons will take place via Microsoft Teams. The first lessons are typically introductory and involve going through the basics of your course, i.e. what is required of you (and not) to exceed in your exams. This will typically be by going through specifications, examiners reports, and taking a detailed look at the last paper itself.

Lessons will take place via Microsoft Teams. The first lessons are typically introductory and involve going through the basics of your course, i.e. what is required of you (and not) to exceed in your exams. This will typically be by going through specifications, examiners reports, and taking a detailed look at the last paper itself.
We will start by figuring out specific strengths and weaknesses of what you want to work on. From then on we will be focussing each lesson on specific skills, or gaining knowledge in areas that are lacking, before putting it all together with writing practice. Writing practice involves both practicing how to write with the knowledge of what examiners are looking for (so the skill of answering exam questions), and also writing clearly and eloquently, so your fantastic ideas can be well understood by your examiners.
Each lesson is specifically tailored to you - I do not reuse PowerPoints from other lessons. Before our lessons start and I gain information about your course, exam board, etc., I do comprehensive research to put together the relevant information to help you succeed, which will remove any confusion about what is really required of you. This approach of reiterating assessment objectives throughout our classes together will help even outside of our lessons, because you will have a clear idea of what to look for in your own writing to ensure top marks.
After every lesson I will ask if there is anything you would like to focus on, and our next session will oversee it. This will make sure each lesson is designed specifically to your needs, ensuring success.
