my lessons help develop a basic understanding of subjects and topics within maths, i can go through syllabus and weak areas, such as going through old tests to correct mistakes and understand what went wrong. i can also help students go through school work to clear up what they are learning at school so they feel more confident in their maths ability.

i find teaching easier when showing examples and using visual imagery to help them understand. i can go as slow or fast as the student needs to cater to their needs.

my experience is having tutored a few one on ones with some lower school secondary children ages 11. And helping other GCSE students to revise for their exams in maths and understand the content that they were learning- including further-maths material.

the format of my lessons would usually start with asking where the student would like to focus on then going through explanation, going through examples together until understanding is deepened and until they are eventual able to solve problems on their own, and then i will help make sure they are able to solve maths questions without errors and confidently. i aim to help students get a full understanding of the maths they are learning so that they are able to apply it in their lessons at school and tests.

i am also able to focus on examinations instead of lessons, if a students aim is to improve their grade then i can help work with them to get bigger marks by correcting and help understand mistakes and work through practice material that i will provide myself.
