Hi I am a friendly easy-going teacher bursting with enthusiasm to help my students learn. I have more than 25 years of experience in teaching English. I adapt lessons so that my students can learn in the way that they learn best. I ask students what they want to learn and am flexible in trying to meet their needs. I usually will teach something explicitly and very clearly..but then I will allow lots of time to practice through fun activities where they are using the new language in a fun and personalized way. This way, I believe that the new language will stay in their memory. Some students might be very good at remembering, others not so good and might need more support. I might use games, pictures, videos, role play, dialogues, stories...basically, I will use whatever helps my students learn and remember. I can teach reading skills, listening, speaking and writing. Also grammar and vocabulary...although these all feed into one another, so I might teach vocabulary from a reading text for example. From experience, my students generally find one or two skills more difficult than the others. This might be because of the way you have been taught before or it might be just about the way you learn. I believe I can identify what is causing the difficulty and focus in and give extra attention to this. You will learn easily and the more you learn the easier it becomes. Learning should be fun and enjoyable and not a chore. If a student is motivated, I believe anyone can learn anything.
