Based off of the initial lesson, I'll discuss with you what grade you are working at / what you are aiming to achieve and I'll note down areas of weaknesses that I recognize as well as the ones you highlight. I will then make powerpoints based off of one topic, where we can discuss how much of a powerpoint should contain of learning content and how much should be exam practice. This will be interactive, and we will make it engaging to make chemistry enjoyable for everyone. I will however tailor my lessons to be suited for every student. Those with short attention spans, those who prefer writing things down, and those who are not too keen on the subject. I can tweak the original learning tool to include whiteboard tasks, writing, drawing diagrams such as practicals, youtube videos, and the list goes on. This will be a virtual call on microsoft team or google meets, where I would expect the student to have their camera on to ensure I get the most out of them and can aid them to achieve their full potential. Although I have never been a tutor before, I have experience working with young children in a primary school setting when I worked as a teacher assistant. This may not seem relevant, but teaching a year 3 class can be challenging, however it teaches you how to twist things to be best suited for each individual, and how to really interest the student and share determination.
