I am a Primary School teacher with 18 years experience. My lessons are fun and engaging. They will follow the format of an introduction establishing prior knowledge and introducing our learning intention and success criteria. This could take the form of a video, quiz, game, or other activity to start on a positive, fun note. The next section focuses on constructing the learning through showing and explaining examples transitioning to the child working independently. Lastly, we do a plenary together to help the learning stick and establish any mistakes/errors to be explored next lesson. Formative assessment techniques are incorporated throughout to ensure continuous assessment.

Children need to be stimulated and hooked into learning. I will spend time getting to know your child and their interests so I can design a curriculum that follows their interests and is child-centred. I will make a forward plan that focuses on the learning objectives through a range of approaches and considers your child's learning needs.

After each lesson, I will provide a brief verbal report of progress and next steps.

If required, I can contact and work closely with your child's class teacher or pupil support teacher to ensure our learning complements your child's school studies.
