I am an engineering graduate (hons.), I love teaching and physics is one of my favourite subject as it relates our understandings with our nature and surroundings. Physics is meant to help us understand how the universe works, I want to help your students feel more comfortable and excited to study it. To engage class, I illustrate abstract mathematical expressions with visual aids and practical examples whenever possible. For a basic introduction, first I give fundamental concepts, like the scientific method, then I cover topics.
Asking questions is a great way to ensure that student is learning, and i encourage students to ask question But I don’t just let them ask random questions instead, I do a daily question prompts that relate directly with the lesson plan. This thing allow me to identify any misunderstandings before moving to next topic.
I usually give real life examples so that student can relate more with the topic. Like how light travels or how a firetruck works and I try to teach the basic concepts of physics in this real world example.
My lesson plan contains basic concepts and then a real world example(if possible) and then interaction with students and encourage them to think more real world example of that topic and finally theoretical and numerical questions.
Also, I strongly belive the discipline should be maintained in the class whether it is online or offline because it helps in focusing what we are learning together. That's all about my teaching style. Thank You.
