I am a private tutor who began tutoring in 2019. I currently have students ranging from year 1 all the way to GCSE and am currently teaching throughout the weekend. I have lots of experience in teaching GCSE Maths and Science, as well as KS3 and KS2, Maths and English. I have tutored many students in the last three years with many of my students receiving excellent grades in their end of year exams while also improving a lot since starting. Furthermore, I prepare and plan for lessons in
advance to ensure that the teaching is to a great quality and make sure that homework is set every week to ensure students are able to consolidate their learning.

I believe a good tutor is one who has excellent subject knowledge, good organisation and fantastic communication. These are all skills that I have acquired over the last three years, in which allow me to achieve better outcomes for my students. As part of my private tuition, I plan the lesson in advance, which allows me to have a more productive lesson in which there is a greater outcome achieved at the end of the lesson by the student. I also set homework weekly, in order for students to consolidate their learning but also revisit their previous work. Alongside this, at the end of every
half term, I set exams for the content we have covered over the last few lessons in order to analyse and understand what the gaps in my students learning are. This also allows me to see their progress, but is also a chance for me to make my lessons more effective. I also have consistent meetings with the child's parents in order to update them on their child’s learning and progress but also to ensure that they are supporting their child in their leaning. In addition to this, I make sure that lessons are
enjoyable, by having different activities for different lessons, which makes learning more exciting for the student. Furthermore, my outstanding subject knowledge allows me to ensure that what I am teaching is accurate, but also ensures that I am teaching students effective and strategic methods for them to remember. Therefore I believe that I would be a good tutor at your company and should have the opportunity to teach as part of this company
