Alyssa Li

I am a passionate and knowledgeable tutor with a strong academic foundation in Environmental Science and Environmental Engineering. My lessons are aimed at students of all levels, from primary/secondary school students needing support in basic environmental concepts to university students/companies exploring advanced topics like ecosystems, climate change, sustainability, and human impact on the environment. I also welcome individuals interested in interdisciplinary perspectives, such as how environmental science intersects with public health and engineering.

I hold a Master of Engineering (Research Degree) in Environmental Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS), where I excelled academically with a perfect 5.0 GPA in advanced doctoral courses, including Advanced Environmental Chemistry and Environmental Microbiology. My research spans topics such as wastewater-based epidemiology and emerging pollutants on human and environmental health, demonstrating my ability to tackle complex interdisciplinary challenges.

Additionally, I have teaching experience as an Assistant Class Advisor for undergraduate students, where I guided over 60 students in Environmental Science and related subjects, helping them achieve exceptional academic results (Averaged GPA 4.0/5.0). I also have hands-on experience communicating scientific concepts effectively, such as during my time at the University of Oxford’s and Princeton University's environmental-related courses, where I deepened my understanding of ecosystems, sustainability, and conservation.
