I often use different fun technologies such as ipads, animation, VR and coding to inspire and engage the person that I am working with. I am also an artist so I often your creative arts to connect with my learners. Technology also allows me to track progress and show the families that I work with the amazing steps each child is making towards their goal.
I end my lessons with some fun activities to check the progress of whoever I am working with so I can plan my next lesson around the needs of each specific child.
I am also a forest school leader and PE specialist so can also use movement and physical activity to support the children. I find when working with children who require a tutor that there can sometimes be anxiety around learning so as an experienced nurture teacher I have a range of activities I use to help put my learners at ease and begin to enjoy learning.
I believe learning should be fun and for primary ages children, if they enjoy learning then they progress much faster. Getting to know the children and families I work with helps me create bespoke lessons that bring learning alive, make it purposeful and allow the child to understand difficult concepts.
