Hi there, my name is Allie, so nice to meet you!
I have worked with children of all ages and various disabilities. I have been working in childcare since I was very young, and foster a caring and comfortable approach to help students realize their potential to succeed. I like to branch out of the norm and find new outlets to utilize that adhere to the student and work on areas of struggle by using their strengths to get through those hurdles.
I worked in a few different schools back home in Arizona, primarily doing one-on-one teaching, but also teaching to groups on occasion. I have been a part of many events in schools with elementary age children teaching them new activities in a Montessori environment, allowing them to ‘want’ to learn rather than feeling they ‘need’ to learn. It’s a beautiful approach to students who are struggling to see the motives in learning. I’ve studied a ton of childhood development coursework, which to me, is crucial in having a base when it comes to tutoring and teaching children; understanding their side of it a bit more allows for more understanding from the teacher.
I went to University and studied Business Management and Human Resources Management. This included courses such as Business Economics, Accounting, Business Law, Psychology, Global Business Management, Sales and Marketing, and Business & Hotel Operations.
I am happy to help on any topic really! K-12 courses of any kind I’m open to. I took honors English growing up, that’s probably my favorite topic if I had to choose! I have studied a ton of different topics, I also know some accounting, business and psych if you’re looking for that sort of thing, just ask, I can probably teach it!
I’m very down to earth and humble. I have a big heart and just want to make kids’ smile and help them ace their test. I am very patient and open to facing any leading curves your child is dealing with. I’m very confident, calm, and determined. Hope to talk soon!
