Hello, I am a third year Aerospace engineering student. I have been tutoring for the past 2 years in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I have taught students of all levels and from all backgrounds. I always tailor my lessons to student need and always ask for feedback from my students in order to better my lessons.
Usually, I ask my students about the topics they struggle on and plan lessons in accordance with that. I like to start my lessons with a recap and mini test of the topics we covered before in order to ensure student understanding. I then move onto teaching them something new and working through many exam questions as I believe practice is the best way to learn.
I also ensure that my student has understood the topic I have taught before moving on which I believe is something a lot of other tutors don't do as they try to cover the content as quick as they can and students are usually shy to ask for help. I try to eliminate this by understanding my student as best as I can and being patient with their learning. Occasionally I like to give exams to my students in order to better understand where their knowledge stands and identify their weak points.
I believe my style of teaching has been beneficial to all my students.
