Alixandrea Corvyn

I have over 25 years experience as a live and recording performer. In that time I have gigged with bands across the UK and in Europe, at a variety of venues – from tiny pubs and street corners to big festivals. I have recorded both my own songs and as a session vocalist for other bands, and performed solo without accompaniment. I have studied Popular Music, and trained with many different voice coaches. These experiences allow me to bring my own unique insight to you as my student. Would you like me to teach you what I have learned?

I am a Norwich based voice coach teaching contemporary styles, especially singing techniques for rock, folk and pop music. Location is not a problem, as if you are unable to come to me I can teach you via Skype or other similar online services (subject to a good connection). I have been teaching lessons from my home and at a private music school for five years.

I won't get you bogged down in music theory unless you really want to learn it! I combine several different voice teaching styles in order to help you free your voice. Relaxation of the important muscles is key, and I will teach you breath support as well as how to form sounds with the best resonance. With me you will find your authentic voice, expand your range, improve your confidence, become a better performer, and increase your stamina. Lessons are approached with an emphasis on humour and fun. We'll usually do warm-up exercises, followed by exercises targeting any issues you may have. We always finish with a song or two, where I can give you specific instruction on how to take what you've learned into your performance.
