The subjects that I can teach are General Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Biochemistry, and Mathematics. The content of the information will differ depending on the chosen subject(s) and the goals of the specific student. The general format of the course will be the same:
Introduction to the course: We will start with some basics to analyze what level you are at so that the upcoming lessons will be planned for you to gain the most out of the tutoring sessions.
Three or four information units: The subject will be broken up into units to dive deeper into each topic.
A final application unit: The idea of this unit is to use the information learned for deeper questions that may be found on difficult exams or real-life experience. For secondary school students, this is where GCSE practice questions may be introduced.
After each session some homework will be provided for more practice, and a short quiz will be provided at the beginning of each session to test knowledge that was learned. The purpose for this is to store the knowledge in long-term memory.
For this to be the best experience possible, I would appreciate some previous knowledge if interested in tutoring sessions - which subjects are of interest, how long and how many sessions would be desired, your strengths and weaknesses in learning, and your goal for these tutoring sessions. Then, I can provide a more detailed format for the lessons, where you can adjust what you would like.
Most importantly, I want to make science a fun experience, as I know that many people have anxiety about many science courses. I will make sure to add lots of interactive activities, especially if a topic is proven to be extra difficult for you. In the end, all I want is for you to gain the most out of your time and money!
