I'm a sculptural lighting designer and ceramics teacher who has worked in schools and universities to support students and adults with their progression in the arts, in a variety of different mediums and materials. My work starts with painting and sketching, followed by design and making. I love to teach and share my knowledge whilst understanding how this supports our wellbeing and economy.
In our first lesson we will understand where you're currently at within the subject area and what you'd like to achieve. I offer one-off beginner workshops or a series of on-going lessons to get you to the right place.
My lessons are online, and may require you to purchase certain materials depending on what subject we're looking into. Lessons are 1 hour with an intro, presentation and potential practical element.
Elements that can be covered are:
Watercolour Painting: Colour theory, paint techniques, artist research
Acrylic Painting: Colour theory, paint techniques, artist research
Sketching: Still Life, animals, mark-making
Jewellery Design: Learning materials and processes, sketching, artist research
Glass Design: Learning materials and processes, sketching, artist research
Ceramics Design: Learning materials and processes, sketching, modelling techniques, artist research
Sculpture: artist research, form, purpose, design
Please note: Each subject can be learnt in length in many lessons, so please pick only one to start!
