As a student myself, I understand the importance of being well briefed about the course of the class. Hence, I will be very open with conversation as far as the curriculum is concerned. I understand that certain aspects take long than others and I aim to make to sure that at the end of our lessons, my students are well-equipped. I will also consult visual media as a means of better understanding the course at hand, since I also prefer visual help. I do provide homework help and would be more than willing to practice skill work more than any writing. In other words, I believe it is important to have polished skills that can be helpful later with other forms of education rather than be limited to a subject or even an excerpt being read. I will admit, I am only starting out and would be more than happy to cater to my students needs. I understand that we all process things differently and should any issues arise, I will rethink my lessons plans in order to focus on solutions. I believe it is important for an educator to maintain a bridge with their students, alongside having them intermingle to better grasp concepts. Although there is effort required, we can work our way through to make sure nothing is too overburdening. I wouldn’t want my students to feel overwhelmed with their existing workload being accompanied by what I assign. I have yet to exercise my rights as a tutor and understand my limits so I hope we can work together to form new bridges and learn further.
