I take a holistic approach toward teaching my students. This means familiarising myself with their characteristics through constant communication. I understand that every individual is unique and hence, favour a flexible approach toward teaching. My teaching style consists of:
-Identifying the base point of where the student is in terms of understanding and knowledge
-Gradual progression from simpler to more complicated tasks
-Question time, encouraging the student to ask any questions that they have
-Reflection time to allow the student to feedback their thoughts and ideas
-Catering to the individual's learning style (e.g. visual learner? Kinaesthetic learner?)
-Evaluates the student's weaknesses and strengths, identifying areas for improvement
-Producing reports to track student progress
-Alter communication style to meet the student's needs (e.g. pace control, vocabulary use, body language, gestures)
-Always open to suggestions

-Experience in teaching individuals as young as 6, and as old as 22
