All my lessons are tailored to the student's needs.

A Needs assessment is carried out in the first class to determine the student's level and priorities as well as goals. If the student is working towards a specific goal, like an exam or a job interview, we will set daily or weekly goals to achieve depending on how close the exam or interview is.

If the student is not working towards a specific goal, but just a specific skill, the lessons will be focused on improving that skill only, nevertheless blending in other aspects of the language. For example, a student focusing on improving speaking, will also need to improve grammar and vocabulary as well as focus on fluency.

If the general goal is to improve in all areas, a schedule will be decided for each week with focus on specific skills in each class.

Each lesson will focus on bringing in new vocabulary and then using it in different contexts as well as grammar aspects that come up in the speaking and which need further teaching or explaining.
I love explaining grammar to my students and practise it in different ways to have a better understanding of it.

My strongest experience is with preparing students for examinations such as IELTS, Trinity and Cambridge examinations. Having taught IELTS for over 4 years, Cambridge courses for 2 and being an examiner for Trinity for the last 8 years, I consider myself to be well suited in helping people focus on such specific goals and achieve great results.
