I am a student and have been tutoring for five years now - all my students have passed their SATs, 11+, and GCSEs with flying colours. This year alone (2023), 5 of my students have passed their SATs and 11+ with above-average scores, and I have brought a student (who previously was attaining a grade 5) to acquire a grade 9 in their GCSE Maths exam.

I am patient and kind to foster a safe working environment for students to thrive and develop a healthy work ethic. As they grow, I inspire students to aid their personal growth and development by acting as a role model and teacher to support them.
I prioritise weekly check-ins with clients to ensure that their needs are being facilitated and that students are supported as efficiently and effectively as possible with lesson plans tailored to their needs and their school curriculum.

I have been successful in this role because of the following qualities I consistently display:
Time Management - I am punctual to sessions and liaise flexibly with clients to teach at times that work best for the student's schedule.
Organisation - I prepare lesson plans in advance so students will remain interested and clear on the content they are taught.
Communication - I can explain complex concepts in simple terms and adapt my approach by demonstrating different methods to answer questions, as this allows the students to choose what works best for them.
Active Listening - I respond to a client's needs and am attentive, patient and kind to ensure the student feels they have a safe space to voice their academic concern and uncertainty.
Conflict Resolution Skills - I am vigilant so that communication with the client is positive and there are no misunderstandings.
