Hi! My name is Alicia Adeleye, a Biomedical Student, with a passion for science. I have been tutored from age 6 and have 5 years’ experience as an assistant tutor and a substitute tutor at Mind The Gap UK, so I fully understand how to tutor and then best methods of delivery. I have been through GCSE and A-Level examinations, acquiring A*s in Maths and Biology, Chemistry and Physics at GCSE and an A in Biology, Core Maths and Psychology at A-Level.

My aim is for each of my students to achieve their target grade or above in the subjects I work with them in at GCSE and A-Level. Having sat them myself, I have developed tried and specialized techniques to help learn content and apply it to exams. These tips and tricks have helped my peers and I'm sure will guarantee my students progress also. Due to my personal experience with the exams, I am able to understand my student's needs on a deeper level and this helps me build a trusting rapport with my students; I’ve found that that relation contributes greatly to their success.

My teaching methods aim to target the gaps in my students’ knowledge and help them build confidence when answering exam questions, by teaching them key-exam techniques. I also help them develop independent study behaviors, which will help make their own revision more effective. Some of these include flip-reading and blurting.
