For Beginners
For beginners, I focus on creating a solid foundation while making lessons engaging and enjoyable. We start by learning the essentials of reading music, understanding rhythm, and proper hand technique. I introduce these fundamentals through simple pieces that are fun to play and rewarding to learn. My goal for beginners is to spark their interest and make the learning process feel manageable. As they gain confidence, I incorporate new challenges step by step, ensuring they never feel overwhelmed but are constantly progressing. I also encourage creativity early on, introducing simple improvisation or ear training exercises so students can start expressing themselves musically from day one.

For Advanced Students
With advanced students, I take a more collaborative and intensive approach, focusing on refining their technical skills, expanding their repertoire, and deepening their musical interpretation. At this level, I often work with students to identify their strengths and areas for improvement, and we set specific goals together—whether that’s mastering complex pieces, preparing for performances, or developing a personal style. Lessons may include advanced technique exercises, in-depth analysis of pieces, and guidance on expressive playing. We also explore musical theory and interpretation in more detail, so they can bring depth and personality to their performance.

Across all levels, I prioritise open communication. I encourage students to share their interests, feedback, and goals so that our lessons can be as engaging and productive as possible. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I’m here to help you become the musician you aspire to be!
