Learning a language can be difficult but, personally, I think that with creativity anyone can overcome some difficult hurdles.
My lessons are always interactive, they are never one-sided as I believe in self-improvement so I give my students space to make mistakes and to understand what they are learning.
In order to learn a language, it is important to know idiomatic expressions and everything related to the everyday life of a language.
To learn more vocabulary, I use songs and tales for the beginners and poems, books chapters for the intermediate/advanced ones.
Regarding the conversation, depending on the student's level, I usually choose a topic of interest to discuss. The latter usually leads to writing excercises where the student engages in answering questions and writing short essays on the topic.
Regarding grammar or vocabulary exercises, I use the "fill the gap" technique because, according to my experience, by filling a text with nouns, verbs, adverbs etc., the student has less difficulties remembering various words.
Lastly, the most importan thing to me is that students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking me questions, and having fun while they learn.
