Maths, English, and Science Tutor for Ages 11-16.
Cost: £25 per Hour Lesson (10 lessons for £200)

Methodology: intended learning outcomes taken from relevant syllabus, appropriate work resources for the student to complete with my assistance as well as my own explanation of important concepts. I appreciate that some learners benefit from visual aids so my delivery encompasses diagrams and figures that help to explain the more challenging concepts too.

Content: typically a lesson will have a 20:40:40 split of revising previously taught content, new content to learn and, exercises to apply the new content that was learned earlier in the session. This ratio is of course idealistic and will not reflect all of our lessons together, if for instance, a student is struggling to comprehend the new content that week then more time and effort will be allocated to learning it before testing them on it.

Dynamic: my lessons are relatively laidback and informal as I am a strong believer in professional wellness and not stressing the student out with too much at once. I have the patience to sit with a student and help them come to an answer but I will also contribute and help them if this proves difficult. As a tutor, my goal is to create a comfortable atmosphere for the student as an approachable intermediate to teachers at school.

Experience: 12 GCSEs achieved with 10 A*s and 2 As, as well as a grade 9 in core subjects: English language; English literature, and mathematics. International Baccalaureate score of 38 points, including 766 at HL, featuring higher level chemistry, biology, and Latin.
