I have recently completed a bachelors degree in popular music and I am currently studying for a PGCE in secondary music education. I have been teaching guitar for five years now to students from a range of ages and skill levels. I have taught in group and individual scenarios which has helped in my adaptability of teaching.

During my PGCE and through prior experience I gave taught a range of students in both music and instrumental lessons, from primary school age all the way up to A-level! I have also taught in both group and one to one scenarios, with great pupil outcomes in both of these areas.

I like to focus the lessons around specific musical skills and build these skills up in conjunction with each other, drawing on a wealth of musical repertoire. However, most of all, I like to make my lessons fun and specifically tailored to each students musical interests. I find the guitar and music in general to be particularly helpful with mental health and switching off and having fun!
