Hi, my name is Alfie, nice to meet you!

Lesson Plan:
For new students, I want to get to know you. What are your aims for your English studies?
Everybody is different, maybe it's a difficult book you need help with, maybe you have good ideas but struggle to get them onto paper.

In my classes there are:
- Fun and interactive exercises.
- Fresh perspectives and discussion of your texts.
- Practical steps to improve your writing in the eyes of examination boards.

About me:
I love studying now, but it took me a long time to realise that studying English could even be fun. Luckily, some good teachers helped me develop this interest:

I achieved A* grades for English Literature at GCSE and A-Level, I went on to study Philosophy, and then a First Class creative degree where I achieved a mark of 96/100 for my dissertation essay.

After graduation, I taught in person classes at the BFI Southbank on filmmaking for young people aged 9-16, and now I work in the TV industry where I meet people and study every day.
