I'm a secondary school teacher with over seven years of experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages. I specialise in French teaching but am also a qualified German and Italian teacher. I have recently also completed a TEFL course to support learners studying English as a foreign language.

I pride myself on my lessons being engaging, interactive and well structured. Each lesson will focus on the five key skills needed when learning a language: listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation. Lessons can be tailored to individual needs and this can be discussed before sessions start. I use a variety of techniques and resources to ensure learners are able to see progress in their language learning.

I am currently a 2nd in Department in a large MFL department. Therefore, I have a broad understanding of the GCSE process and have seen success for hundreds of students throughout my teaching career. I can offer specific lessons on exam technique and am confident that my knowledge can help students to succeed in a GCSE situation.

Furthermore, I also have experience teaching primary school children basic French. I have run short courses in local primary schools on topics such as food, introducing yourself, clothes and numbers. I understand the difference in teaching style needed for younger children and would of course adapt my lessons accordingly. Sessions for younger students would be interactive, include games/songs and would encourage progress via exploring the foreign language.
