I like to maintain a friendly and open environment during my lessons. The lessons are completely based on what the student needs to work on that day (anything that they are struggling with in school, any gaps in knowledge) and I also assess whether there are any other topics they may need to work on based on what we go through (e.g. if we are working through exercises and they struggle when working with decimals I will ensure we spend some time getting them comfortable with this). I also like to include exam questions in my lessons as I believe that the earlier they begin to practice approaching these questions, the more likely they are to be comfortable with them when they take their exams. Going through GCSEs can be a very stressful period for all students, it is important to me that I build my student's confidence and that I help them get the results they deserve.
