I’ve been teaching English in England and abroad for over 25 years both privately and in private language schools. I have both the basic and advanced qualifications for teaching English ( few teachers have this advanced certificate) and I also have a Masters Degree in English Language.
When I first meet you, I will ask you a lot of questions about why you want to improve your English, about your job and about your life in general. From speaking to you, I will discover your strengths and weaknesses in English and from this I will plan a course for you.
I am a British native speaker and I will teach you authentic English. Good pronunciation is very important to me because if you cannot pronounce English well, people will not understand you. I will help you with this.
I put a lot of work into our lessons, preparing carefully and giving you feedback. It is best if you can focus fully on our lessons, without interruptions from your phone.

In our first meeting will last 10-20 minutes. This will be the 'free lesson'

I normally teach online or in my house, just south of Cheltenham. My house has car parking and is 5 minutes from a bus stop. On rare occasions I will consider coming to a student's house but this does not provide such a good learning environment.
