I have 6 years of teaching experience and have just recently graduated with my MMus (Piano Accompaniment) cum laude from Stellenbosch University. During my the course of my MMus, I acted as assistant lecturer to the piano department. This provided me with experience in teaching someone at a university (BMus) level. Upon completion of my MMus degree, I acquired a piano teaching job with Piano Teachers Connect - an online piano teaching company. Currently, I teach online via Skype and am seeking more students. I have experience in teaching a variety of ages, with my youngest student being 4 years old and my oldest student 60. I have taught students who are complete beginners, as well as those who have learnt via observation. Additionally, I have much experience in teaching advanced students who are preparing for university or diploma exams.

As a seasoned performer, accompanist and teacher, I have acquired much knowledge during the course of my studies. Most of my beginner students are playing pieces within two lessons. I try my best to provide a well-rounded education, whilst focusing on the basic principles of musicality, good sound quality, technique and enhanced performance techniques. In our lessons, we will focus on different time periods and various styles of playing. Each lesson will be customised to the students unique needs and goals. My own goal is to produce pianists with a refinement in their playing, a beautiful sound and solid technique.
