From my experience studying history, history of art and politics during my A-Levels I found good revision techniques in helping me score highly. This often included spider diagrams around a certain essay question or an event, the basic flash card which I would be very happy to assist with. The key revision technique which I believe would help my students write more diligently would be essay plans around different questions but they would be short and brief which manages to help jog your memory. However, I would be very happy to assist with other techniques as well such as mini presentations or using Miro which is an online app which allows both student and teacher to see what’s being written. The key thing in a piece of writing is to stand out to those writing an answer to the same question. Having recently done A-Levels in essay based subjects I’m hoping to use my expertise to improve not only the students knowledge and revision techniques but also exam/ writing technique.
