My lessons involve first a discussion in which I would ask you what you wanted to study, how you feel you handle the subjects and such. If you were unsure I would ask you about some knowledge of areas you have covered to assess what you are not rock solid on. After this, each lesson would tend to have a basic structure. First I would cover the theory, what you need to know, how to approach questions and so forth. Then I would demonstrate a few example questions to show what the marking scheme is looking for in answers. After this I would give you some practice questions, most likely from past papers as they are the best representation of your final exam, and work through them with you. I am always happy to look back at topics and re demonstrate questions or try to explain them differently because I know that was what worked for me. I will also provide advice for specifically exam practice as I have much experience with these exams and I am very aware of what you need to say and how you need to say it to get the marks. Lastly, I would help devise a revision plan and give you something to work on between sessions. Of course this is just a general layout and by no means the guaranteed way lessons would go. Different things work for different people finding out what works for you is the best way to really master your subjects.
