Hello! I have been teaching science internationally for the last 5 years at an accredited international school and am now completing my PGCE in physics. I am originally a biology graduate where I have a bachelor and a masters degree. I have taught all 3 sciences to GCSE level and biology to A-level standard.
I am a massive nerd and love learning about nature, reality and our interaction with it as well as the more traditional nerd-y things such as videogames, D&D and engineering projects. I like to contextualize teaching within real life and the above areas (yes, the physics of D&D can be intriguing!). Ideally I like to have my students perform practical experiments and then come up with descriptions that lead to explanations of what they have observed that would lead to them learning something new. However I have also had extensive practice of teaching online thanks to the pandemic (1.5 years of teaching my learners through the computer).
I love helping people but above all I love to see people realize/work things out themselves (instead of being lectured) and thus build their self-confidence.
