I wasn't able to take private lessons until I was in high school and know all too well how difficult it can be to figure things out on your own. Having started later than others, I quickly learned how to absorb the most necessary information about how to play the cello and filter out the parts that got in the way of me being a better performer. I am a strong believer that your personal sound is the foundation of all things music and technique. My teaching method is designed to inspire confidence in your sound so you may quickly learn how to teach yourself.

In any lesson, be prepared to work on a mixture of technical exercises, scales, studies, etudes, in addition to one to two musical pieces. I am a believer that technique should serve the music so anything that we will work on in our sessions will be applicable across the board, and not specifically to an individual study.
