Alex Callaghan

My name is Alex Callaghan. I am an enthusiastic 6th year primary school teacher with experience of a variety of age groups. I have a desire to help young people to reach their academic potential regardless of ability. I am able to secure a positive rapport with all children that ai work with immediatedly which enables me to drive motivation and success. I have also achieved academic success with cohorts that achieve high marks on recent SATs exams. I have a strong passion for teaching Maths and English and feel this is where my strengths in improving learning are. Outside of work, I am into teaching and learning pedagogy. I enjoy bringing my knowledge from research papers and transferring them into my own practise. I am evidence based and am obsessed with success and how to improve outcomes for children. Furthermore, my personable nature allows me to work closely with children and motivate them in turn. I am fairly flexible when it come sto flexibility as I would like semi-regular sessions so I can see the effect of my sessions and adapt input accordingly.
