I am a friendly and reliable tutor who takes pride in being someone that students can feel comfortable with in order to create a calm and encouraging environment where they can progress and become confident. I specialise in subjects such as History, Philosophy, Politics and English Language /Literature as well as GCSE Biology and some experience in primary education. I have experience working with students of all capabilities, and this can be assessed before I start planning further lesson plans. Sessions with me can be adapted for age level/ students with learning disabilities. I am familiar with multiple softwares and lessons styles made for aiding dyslexia. We can either focus on exam/essay practice style sessions, for any exam board, or sessions going over course content depending on what is required. Lessons will be made bespoke around the students needs every week depending on what they want to focus on. I can also provide advice on formulating an essay, sourcing, referencing as well as how to effectively revise and make resources. Lessons with me can be very flexible in order to make the student feel most comfortable depending on what type of learner they are or how confident they are, for example. I am also easily and reliably contactable and have good communication skills to keep in contact with parents if they wish/ have any recommendations or concerns for lessons. Before starting lessons with a student I am also open to video calling where the parent can meet with me, ask any questions or lay out expectations.
