Dear student!
Do you want to get into the course of your dreams and are looking for a seasoned expert who knows the baccalaureate exam inside out?
Do you need someone who knows how to explain physics in a simple, accessible way?
Or are you simply looking for someone who will bring out your full potential?
If so, I will be able to help you :)
MY STRENGTHS
(or what sets me apart from other tutors ;)
1. SHAPING THINKING IN A PHYSICAL WAY
I know from experience that the biggest difficulty when it comes to physics is to understand the phenomena that hide behind patterns. Therefore, it is extremely important to develop the physical imagination and to assist with multimedia teaching aids. In this way, pupils are able to naturally find the logical connections that make physics no longer black magic!
2. EMPHASIS ON TOPICS WHICH ARE MOST FREQUENTLY REPEATED IN EXAMINATIONS.
The amount of material arising from the core curriculum is too great to be mastered to an ideal degree. The standard approach of trying to master everything unfortunately fails. Fortunately, I have a solution for this.
Have you heard of the Pareto principle?
It says that 20% of individuals are responsible for 80% of outcomes, e.g:
20% of people in the world have 80% of the money,
20% of pupils ask 80% of all questions during lessons,
20% of your classmates are involved in 80% of extra-curricular activities. - etc.
For more than 10 years I have been following the requirements in the CKE matriculation exams , the eighth-grade test guidelines, the core curriculum and discussing the matriculation worksheets with examiners . I know which topics are responsible for the majority of your result on the baccalaureate exam, the eighth-grade test or the test.
I know which 20% can account for 80% of your score. :-)
3. CAREFUL PLANNING OF THE WHOLE LEARNING PROCESS AND CONSIDERATION OF REPETITION
We have to face the fact that no one really remembers the material for more than a month after the test.
How to deal with this? I searched for answers for a long time and found the best one in: "The Harvard Guide to Effective Learning". , which shows that the only way to remember something permanently is through well-planned repetitions.
These should take place after:
24 hours,
a week
a month,
three months.
This is why classes are conducted according to a strict concept, according to which repetitions are carefully planned in order to hit the exam day with peak memory form!
4. "BACK TO THE PAST" AND EXPRESS REMEDIATION
Unfortunately, pupils very often lack regularity .
They solve tasks sporadically and have gaps in topics from previous classes. Topics in physics are intertwined. Therefore, prior to the explanation of a topic, the student's knowledge should be examined in a skilful manner, and gaps from the past should be filled in expressly, so that the material covered now becomes comprehensible!
5. MOTIVATIONAL SUPPORT
Many teachers do not realise it, but a good teacher is like a sports coach.
A tutor's mission does not end with teaching, but starts there.
When the time comes after the lesson when the athlete - the student - has to do his or her own thing, he or she needs to be warmed up for the fight. In this, motivational systems need to be set up and memory techniques need to be adapted to help them learn effectively at home, so that they can then make the most of their time in class.
I guide students to their desired goals, just like a coach guides an athlete to a competition.
I shoulder all the responsibility, welcome progress, but especially support in the more difficult moments.
TEACHING METHODS
I follow the requirements of CKE , core curriculum and discuss the final exam sheets with examiners, so I am always up to date with the material. I run an original exam preparation programme, which helps my students to succeed in the exam. However, I never leave my students in trouble and, if necessary, I reassure them with the school material.
Albert Einstein once said: 'Insanity: repeating the same action over and over again expecting different results.', and also: "Logic will take you from point A to point B. Imagination will take you anywhere." We use these two truths in our classes.
If you don't understand something the first time - I will explain it to you again, this time in a different way. The left hemisphere of your brain is responsible for analytical thinking, the right hemisphere for creative thinking. When you encourage both these parts to work together, you get amazing results! This is why I combine logic and imagination in my teaching methods - so that you learn efficiently.
In my work, I use interesting tactics, associations, memory techniques - everything I can to ensure that physics is not a test of character for the student, but a subject that can be genuinely liked and is fascinating!
I make sure that there is a pleasant atmosphere in class. I am understanding but also demanding - because I know that only such an attitude brings results. If you cooperate with me and learn from lesson to lesson - I guarantee that you will succeed .
I do not promise that it will be easy, but believe me it is worth it!
WHERE AND WHEN WE CAN ARRANGE LESSONS:
online lessons - professional classes using a special graphic tablet and a virtual whiteboard, so it's just like sitting next to each other at the same desk. ;-) There is constant interaction in the classes, no slacking off and sitting on your mobile phone :)
Classes can take place at fixed or flexible times between 8:00 and 22:00 (Mon-Sun)
