I have studied piano for most of my life, getting a music scholarship at Aldenham school, and achieving grade 8 with distinction at 14 years old. I was a first study pianist at Junior Guild Hall and The Purcell School of music, and am now doing a BMus in music tech at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. I teach how to structure your practice time, different practice methods, how to improve sight reading skills by recognising the chords in passages of music. I also teach how to make your playing more elegant and natural, following the phrasing, and understanding why different harmonies could impact the way a chord, or single note is played.I have also done lots of work on how to memorise pieces, in order to play them in a concert setting. I aim to give piano lessons that are focused, enjoyable, and most importantly aimed towards getting you to be able to play to the best of your ability.
