Always fond of foreign languages (specifically English and Russian), I decided to turn this passion into my education. I attained my bachelor's degree in Linguistic Mediation and Intercultural Communication, and I'm currently studying for my master's degree in Modern Languages for Management.
I have been working as an Italian teacher for Ukranian children fleeing the war and as a private English teacher for Italian students (specifically, middle schoolers). My methodology highly depends on the student: every person is different and so are their learning skills. Finding the right approach for the student is the key element in the teaching process both for the teacher and the students. I do prioritise conversational skills over grammar rules knowledge, and my teaching is highly based on practical sessions, rather than theorethical ones (although grammar is still fundamental when learning a language!).
My lessons' aim is to make sure that the students feel comfortable enough with their Italian, regardless of the level. Making mistakes is totally okay and there is no need to be ashamed, and therefore I always encourage those who are learning a new language to speak and to just try their best with the knowledge they already possess. We will be making improvements daily and I'll encourage my students to make their Italian learning process part of their everyday life by giving them suggestions about movies to watch, music and podcasts to listen to.
