About me

My name is Alessandra. I am a 42-year-old native Italian translator and a Celta certified English language teacher. My name is Alessandra. I am a 42-year-old native Italian translator and a Celta certified English language teacher. On 9th November 2009 I graduated from Dublin City University with a Bachelor of Arts in Languages for International Communication. I specialized in translation (German and Spanish into English). From September 2009 to February 2010, I did a postgraduate course in medical and pharmaceutical translation (English-Italian) at CTI Communication Trend in Milan. From March 2010 to December 2020 I worked as a freelance translator. Alongside my translation job, in 2011 I started teaching English and German on evening courses for adults in vocational schools. In October 2017 I set up a small language school called “I bimbi al centro”, where I teach English and Spanish to 3-to-14-year-old children using storytelling and theatre techniques to make English learning a very amusing experience. Since March 2020 I have started new collaborations with Italian private language schools teaching English on online courses for teenagers and adults.

Alessandra è un un'insegnante eccezionale, unisce una preparazione impeccabile alla capacità di rendere comprensibili e facili anche gli argomenti più complicati. Alessandra fornisce anche utilissimi testi ed esercizi da svolgere a casa che permettono di fissare meglio gli argomenti. Grazie agli anni passati all'estero Alessandra riesce anche a trasmettere le sfumature colloquiali della lingua che mi permettono di imparare un inglese subito fruibile e al passo con i tempi e non solo una preparazione istituzionale. Fortemente consigliata!

Insegnante molto preparata e professionale. Le sue lezioni con i bimbi sono molto coinvolgenti. Riesce con il sorriso ad insegnare davvero molto.

Molto professionale e preparata, sa come attirare l'attenzione nei bambini e come interessarli alla lingua. con fare giocoso e amorevole trasmette la passione per la materia e l'insegnamento risulta ai bambini un gioco più che una fatica.
