My lessons are aimed to establish a safe and fun environment for both the student and I. I try to make the classes as much fun as I can, so both the student can be engaged and not see the class as a chore. My teaching style is very flexible and upbeat, I like to use my hands a lot when I speak and I incorporate a lot of visuals in my lessons. I like to apply the real-world to my lessons, I like to stay up to date with current events, and am well rounded with the information I learn. In doing so, I can share interests that my students share, therefore making the lesson both exciting and innovative. In classes with younger students, I use a higher-pitched voice and colorful props to keep the students engaged, as I know it can be quite difficult to keep them alert. With the older students, I try to let them take control of the conversation or topic we might be working on. If they struggle or run out of things to say, I can direct them or give them pointers. Overall, I'm a very outgoing person that understands how difficult taking a class can be. Because of this, I try to empathize and create a classroom that strives in making the time go by quickly because of the amount of fun we are all having. The dynamic between the student and the teacher needs to be a respectful but enjoyable one, something I strive to achieve for every lesson.
