Alberto Pouget

My name is Alberto and I am from Spain. I moved to London 4 years ago. I am a native Spanish and Catalan speaker but I am also fluent in French following some time abroad in France. I have a strong understanding of foreign languages. I have a strong commitment to helping students learn and grow. I am patient and creative in my approach to teaching and I am able to think on my feet in order to adjust my lesson to the needs of my students.

I try to keep the class dynamic so that the students don't get bored of the lesson, applying my knowledges in Spanish and English to try to find a way that makes sense to understand how both languages work in different ways.

Also the use of listening examples to educate the students into listening actual Spanish speakers and not not native speakers, and even introduce different accents from other regions, less standardized to elevate the level.

Also the use of songs or movies with subtitles to make the students try to understand the language, and improve their vocabulary.

At the same time introduce some of the Spanish culture in my examples so they can also learn it along with the language.
