I believe in helping students achieve their specific goals. For some it may be learning the material, for others knowing the required amount to get good scores, and for most it's a mixture of both.

I believe in helping the students understand core principles to gain good grasp of the material, building from the bottom up. Understanding first principles, and the historical context of why things were done a certain way. This way a student can rely on their previous knowledge to solve future problems in an assertive way.

I believe in helping students with the homework so they get 100%; this is because tests are based on the homework, thus if a student gets 100% on the homework and understands the material, they are very likely to attain very high scores on tests with minimal effort at the end.

I also believe that students should have the opportunity to get 100% scores and that they shouldn't be labeled by a bad score attained. They should be able to retry until they get the material mastered, because the objective of teaching is that the student learns. Therefore I am willing to work with them until they fully master the material and help them to do so, as this reflects on both the ability of the instructor and teacher.

I believe in tailoring the teaching methods to particular students as we all have different ways of learning which are more efficient for each individual. I have my degree in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science with Learning and Memory Emphasis which I apply in this regard.
