In terms of my lesson structure, my lessons strongly focus on ensuring students gain confidence in answering topic and past paper questions. I like to focus on a specific topic in each lessons. First, I will introduce key formulae needed for the topic. I then like to go through a few topic questions alongside the student, to give them a grasp of the methodology needed. After doing this, I will give the student topic questions to attempt individually and after a short while, I will provide a model solution for the question to ensure they understand the answer and correct procedure. Closer to exam dates, I will also go through various past papers with the student and will also create a paper myself to target personal areas of weakness for the Student.
I have experience tutoring A-Level and GCSE Maths and Further Maths privately and to other sixth-form students at my former school, Wallington County Grammar School. I am currently studying BSc Economics at the London School of Economics after achieving 4 A*s at A-Level (Maths, Further Maths, History and Economics) and 10 9s at GCSE including a 9 in Maths taken a year early, a 9 in Further Maths and an A in FMSQ Additional Maths.
My motivation to tutor derives from my desire to help students fulfill their potential. Many students have the ability to achieve excellent results but are unaware of the best way to study to achieve these results and therefore I would like to share my knowledge to ensure my students excel academically.
