I have experience tutoring students at GCSE level and below in Maths, Biology and Mathematics. I have also mentored younger students in accelerated reading programmes, and ran a Medical Society at my school. I am happy to do in person or online lessons - depending on what is preferred by the student in question. I am kind, approachable and will always prioritise my students. I believe it is so important for my students to form a professional but dependable relationship with me where they feel comfortable to express any concerns or problems they are facing with their studies. I provide interactive sessions where the student will participate in active recall sessions to develop their understanding and memory of concepts in their subjects. I pride myself on my ability to extract every ounce of ability out of all my students - even those who are low in confidence. The first lesson or two will be mainly synoptic so I can gauge where my student's weaker areas so that we can formulate a plan together, to improve their performance. I consistently revisit these subject areas so that I have the capacity to help my students with any topic, regardless of whether we had planned to review it in that session or not. My main objective as a tutor is to help my students achieve their academic goals, and leave them in a position where they no longer need my guidance to succeed. My students will feel challenged in every session, but also secure in their learning and knowledge.
