Hi! My name is Aisha and I offer maths tuition at GCSE and A-Level. My lessons are engaging and productive, so I can assure that you’ll end up falling in love with maths as much as I have.

My approach is based on application, that means we’ll be answering plenty of exam questions in our sessions. I believe this is the best way to learn, it’s active recall and allows you to be comfortable with the format of questions that you will come up in your exams.

Each lesson will begin with highlighting the learning outcomes that we intend to cover. Then we’ll read around the topic, identify any tricky parts. I’ll then show you a couple of examples of questions and tips and tricks on how to answer them, then we’ll answer the questions together. Finally I’ll give you some questions to answer on your own. If you’re still struggling, we repeat the process. Once we’ve mastered the topic, I’ll end the lesson with summarising what we’ve learnt and sending you away with some questions to do in your own time.

My experience in teaching and tutoring is vast. I began tutoring at explore learning when I was 17 and have been doing some form of it since. After sixth form, on my gap year I worked as a cover teacher in my old high school, and as a second year medical student, I still do my fair share of tutoring on the side. So rest assured, you’re in capable hands!
