I have a lot of experience in presenting, having reached semi-nationals in my school debate team and a part of the EPQ, where I have to share my research topic to a dynamic group of people my age. In addition, I have work experience with a local non-profit, where I had to participate in a presentation within a primary school. When teaching, I believe that students should be interacted with rather than copying straight from a screen, therefore I try to minimise the amount of writing on the screen as much as possible and use lots of images and examples, so the information is truly understood. With English being such a complex course, I will always ask for your interpretation, and give you the guidance needed to research these ideas further if desired. Studying English literature a level has made me adept at individual research and discovery, so I will listen to all of your ideas and help you expand on them further to gain the marks necessary. Practise makes perfect, so I will include exam questions and exemplars in my slideshows and the resources that allowed me to achieve my desired grade. I sometimes may do recap questions at the start of each lesson if you're a regular student, and will end the lesson by recapping key points or new vocabulary learnt. I aim to share my passion for the English language and literature with you guys, to hopefully make it as exciting as possible.
Thank you!
