I usually offer a 30min free consultation to begin with, just to make sure the student feels comfortable and understood, and to discuss how we will progress and what to focus on. After that, I am really not strict, I have a flexible schedule and follow what the student prefers. We then go over the main difficulties and weaknesses, over the topics that will be covered in the lectures and what type of assignments/ exams we need to prepare. After that I go over any questions, clarify parts of the law that haven’t really been understood, go over cases where necessary, and help gaining research skills. When it comes to assignments, where the university allows it, I prof read the piece of coursework, give insights on how to improve it, and check the grammar and the referencing.
