I am a 24- year old graduate from Arts University Bournemouth, having received a First-Class Honours Degree In Commercial photography and A-Levels in English Literature, Psychology & Photography.
My passion for English Literature, in particular the meanings within poetry and novels inspired the narrative within my photography degree.
I have been teaching English Literature and Language for two years, tailoring my approach and lesson plans to the specific needs and learning style of each individual.
I have a relaxed approach, aiming for the lessons to be fun and engaging, using visual aids and external resources where possible.
In English Literature lessons, I will annotate the text with the student to ensure their understanding of the text, focusing on any areas of weakness. Next, we will work on Character developments and key themes within the texts.
Whilst believing in-depth knowledge and understanding of a subject to be of the upmost importance, during lessons we work on being able to understand examination style questions, how to break them down strategically using a formula and answering them efficiently to maximise demonstration of learning objectives. Using this learned technique students will have the confidence in their own ability to analyse and answer exam- style questions independently.
Finally, students are given an array of fun revision techniques to suit their learning styles that they can incorporate into their day-to-day learning, making revision easier and bettering their chances of success.
I specialise in English Literature and Language GCSE & A-Level Tuition
